Help I have built a number of AMD PC and this is my first Pentium. The power supply is and Allied AL-A350Atx power supply which came with the case. It is marked with Pentium 4 power supply and has 20pins on the connector for the motherboard. The problem is the motherboard (Asus P5GDC-V) has a socket for 24 pins. I can connect to power supply lead to the end of the motherboard socket but is this right?

Thanks

If it's the correct PSU it should have a four-pin adapter to fit alongside the 24-pin version.
