Overwrite deleted files

I saw a program posted recently that will overwrite deleted files on the hard drive so they can't be recovered (easily!). Anyone recall it, please?

I've seen this as well though not on this Forum. It was a file you could download from the hard drive manufacturers website, only thing is I can't remember which one I saw it on as I've been fixing a few computers in the past few weeks and they all have different makes of hard drives. Suggest you check on the make of hard drive in your PC and go to the manufacturers website as the program I saw only worked on that make of hard drive anyway.

Try Google, there are several programs that will overwrite several times up to "US government" "standard"
