Overspeed streaming

I have been given a very old Dell PC to possibly resell for charity, labelled 'system type GX150' with OS Windows 2000. It works well except that streaming video (eg Youtube, BBC,) is overspeed with a good Donald Duck effect on sound. I've never come across this before - any idea how to correct it, please?

If you mean that video is playing back too fast, then try updating the sound and graphics card drivers and ensuree that all relevant codecs are installed.

My PC has a peculiarity that if my bluetooth headset isn't connected (I don't use speakers), then all video playback is done at around 2x normal speed! Never understood why that is!
