Locked

Abit NF7s Ver2
AMD 2500 barton
1024MB 3200 DDR ram
Leadtek Winfast FX 5900 XT
Windows XP Pro, fully updated
Iam currently running my BIOS with the chip FSB set to 400Mhz, the processor is therefore running at 3200.
The system runs stable for most applications and most of mygames, but crashes windows with games like Black Hawk Down, The error message says"system Text Dump".
TOCA Race Driver crashes, restarts windows then says there is device driver error.
Are there issues with AGP timming when overclocking, how do i resolve this

Is there not a setting in your bios to lock the agp @ 66MHz.
If not this could be part of the problem.

It sounds like you are getting about the same % wise as I get from a 1600 XP+ Palomino I ran it for two weeks at 1900 XP+ No problems at all just standard cpu fan and psu fan but run it at 1700XP so I do not have prob later. I only have a Creative 3D Blaster Banshee so your way in front of mine, but it still types temps only rose by about 2 degrees even running at 1900 the CPU ran at 42c I uped the DSB to 150/150/33

jono,

In Bios there will be a AGP/PCI lock and this needs to be locked, this will then hopefully cause your system to be stable.

Head over to click here

Also you could try running prime95 - click here

Run this for 24 hours and it will tell you if your PC is stable.

Also have you upped the vcore on the CPU? In my experience I would set it @ 1.75v and that should see you stable.

I have 2500+Barton at 205 and run it at 1.7v and memory at 2.7
Would check for the agp lock first though
