Overburning problem with Nero

Hi, I have just noticed that one of the disks I need to use at work (frequently use) is quite badly scratched.

I have decided to burn another one (I have the image on my hard-disk). So, I start to burn the "Image" to CD (about 718meg on a 703meg disk). It burns OK, but when it starts to "varify", it crashes on 100% (the disk gets read in very quick bursts).

I know that it can burn the image, as I have burnt this image to disk many times.

Anyone help? As usual, thanks in advance

Is it a different brand of disk? Some brands are better than others.

Thanks for the VERY quick response.....

Yes it IS a different brand.... Just after I posted this thread, I thought about that.... As I have some disks left of the other brand, I am trying that.

Will keep you up to date.

Overburning is a hit and mis affair. You are burning into areas that aren't really designed for burning. Some disks are better thwn others for it.

It looks promising.... Now on 80% varify (alot quicker than the other brand)

Yes.... It was the brand....

Just this second got the "Varification Completed" dialog box....

Thanks for your help (and interest)

Will tick.....
