Since installing broadband I can only receive emails in outlook express but not send any.

If I made Outlook my default mail program would I be able to send and receive?

Or is there a way I can configure OE so I can send emails on broadband?

Thanks

check in tools/accounts/mail/your email account/properties/connection

leave the box unticked and it will use internet explorers settings to connect.or tick it and select from the list of connections.

also check your smtp and pop settings under the servers tab

maybe.

In OE's Tools>Accounts, highlight your main ISP, click on Properties and, under the Connection tab, ensure that "Always connect to this Account using" has the ISP listed from the menu.

E-mail from other ISPs will have the Always connect etc left blank - on the Accounts page you should get "Any Available" listed under the Connection heading. It will then automatically use your main ISP as a route to collect the other e-mails.

Obviously you should fill in the POP3 and SMPT fields for other ISPs, along with your username and password, under the Server tab from Properties.
