Outlook Send/Receive problems

Using Outlook 2002 on Freeserve broadband. When I click on send/receive a number of pop up boxes appear which state 'Enter Network Password'. The password is already completed.
In the email settings the incoming mail server is changed to 'localhost' and the address of the pop server is added to the username. eg. me.freeserve.co.uk/pop.freeserve.com.
I can not stop this happening.
Any ideas.
