Hi, I lost some of my folders stored in Outlook [ not OE]

[1] I have set up new folders to replace lost ones, but my mail refuses to go into these and stays put in my Inbox.

I have gone through the Rules and checked the new rules againgst those old ones which still work. I cannot see that these are set up any differently than the new ones.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong here please.

[2] can I get those lost folders back with all messages in them? Are they entirely deleted?
