Outlook problem with attachments in the wrong place

Hi, my bosses Outlook has started playing up.

Usually when he adds an attachment, be it an xcel file or a PDF, it goes onto the attachment line underneath the subject line. Now they appear in the body of the email instead. Anyone know how to change this setting as some customers aren`t receiving the attachments.

Some more information may be helpful eg which version of Outlook and how is he adding the attachments.

I suspect that he has changed his email format to rich text see Attachments appear in message body

Outlook being used is from Office 2007 and he`s adding the attachments by clicking on Add attachments.

Yes outlook is set for Rich text, I have just changed it to HTML in the settings and the attachments are back where they should be.
