Outlook Problem

  Legslip 21:02 20 Dec 10

When I click onto Outlook 2003, before it opens I get a window that states " The add-in C:\Documents and Settings\owner\Local Settings\Application D... could not be installed or loaded. This problem may be resolved by using Detect and Repair on the Help menu".
I run Detect and Repair but it doesn't fix it. Any ideas?

Thanks VOG. No, that's it. I would have thought that it would have given the full path but it doesn't.

I had this problem once with Office 2003 on an XP machine and what a pain in the posterior it was.

IIRC do you get an option to run Outlook in Safe Mode (not boot into Safe mode - a different thing), which disables add-ins? It may be possible to uninstall add-ins based on bremner's links.

Alternatively, go to the Control Panel and look for Add-Ins installed there. I think my issue was with the Business Contact manager add-in, which I had to uninstall and reinstall from the master discs. The user data was retained in that case.

Good luck.
