I've recently installed Office 2003 and now using Outlook instead of OE. Problem - when new mail comes in, a sound sounds and a desktop notification appears, but no envelope appears in the notification tray (useful if I'm not at the computer at the time). I've checked the 'show an envelope icon in the notification area' in Advanced e-mail Options. I'm stumped - any idea where I'm going wrong, pleaSE?

Right click Taskbar, Properties, Taskbar tab, Customize button. Find the envelope icon - set its appearance to 'Always show'.

If that doesn't work run click here and it should behave.
