I have recently bought a new PC with XP. I need to transfer the files/folders in Outlook Express from my old PC(Windows 98SE) to my new PC. I can transfer these files no problem between different PCs when both have W98. However, when I try to import them using OE in XP I get a message "No messages can be found in this folder ar another application is running." The W98 files have a .dbx extension. How can I get OE in XP to import them - please. I am using a CD as the store for the transfer.

Thank you.

Not sure WHY this is happening - in theory it should work, You might like to try this little tool click here. I use it for backing up e-mails and directory data and its got me out of trouble a few times. You might like to check with them that it will do what you wnat given your experience.
