Outlook Express - POP3 time out

  iscanut2 11:45 18 May 04

Have just reinstalled Win XP etc and set up my mail accounts again. Getting a pop up box that I did not get before but cannot recall what I might have done to stop it appearing. When downloading large file attachments i get the following " Your POP3 server has not responded in 60 seconds. Do you wish to wait another 60 secs for server to respond " Click on Wait or Stop. I click wait, but it pops up again 60 secs later. Is there a way to prevent this as it can take 20 or 30 mins to download files sometimes and I dont want to sit there to click WAIT every minute or so !

Start Outlook Express Select "Tools" menu Select "Accounts" menu Click "Mail" tab Select mail account to edit Select "Properties" button
Select "Advanced" tab increase "Server timeouts" Click "O.K." Click "Close"
