Outlook express pictures.

I am running windows XP Pro. Recently, possibly after a windows update, I have noticed that emails received with pictures no longer have the pictures downloaded. All that is shown is a red cross in the box where the picture should be. Is there a setting I need to change now?

Try emptying your temp internet files, then see if they appear.

Have you tried this: open OE,go to,Tools,Options,Security Tab,make sure that there is not a tick in "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus" hth.

Another thing to check is that under, Tools, Options, Security Tab, that the box is not ticked against 'Block images and other external content in HTML email'

Thanks for both your help, you gave me the clue I needed. Answer was that the "Block images and other external content in HTML e-mail" had a tick in the box. All ok now thanks.
