Outlook Express message dates

  CEMike 19:01 27 Aug 05

Whenever I open a message in OE (Sent or Received) the 'Date' field shows the day, month, year and time, but not the date!

Looking at Properties shows the date, but this is no good when I want to print a hard copy.

Any ideas gratefully accepted.

I the "day, month, year" are not the date, then what are they?

I can't work this one out, I'm afraid...

THis is a confusing thread..... As Diodorus Siculus has said, if the date isn't the date, what is it then?

Again.... Thread confuses me.

I suspect that what is being asked is "Can the date be formatted or are we left with the way it is shown on the message". i.e. 22 August 2005 15:50

I had no idea I had opened a philosophicl discussion......

Quite simply, my messages show (for example) 'Saturday August 2005 19:21' - so the day is NOT the same as the date.........no date appears!!

Look at the way the date is set up in the Control Panel - change it to the way you want it - then OE should be OK.
