Outlook Express failure

My OS is Windows XP.With Outlook Express open when I click on "Create mail" I get an error message saying "There was an error opening the message. An error has occured".Also, when clickimg on Tools/Address Book I get the error message "Unable to open Address Book. The Address Book may not be properly installed" and another message saying "The Address Book failed to load.Outlook Express is incorrectly configured, please re-install".This has occurred suddenly without warning.OE has been completely normal until now.If I use system restore to 7 days ago Outlook Express works correctly for about 10 minutes then reverts to the above error messages.Should and how do I re-install?

Try a repair first.

From Start click on Run and type in command
"sfc /scannow" without quotes and have your copy of XP installation disk ready in case it asks for it.
