Outlook Express error message.

I am leaving NTL and going over to sky, so I am forwarding all saved emails from OE (under my NTL username) to my gmail account, so as not to lose them.

However, after sending each message, I get the following 'Outlook Express was unable to send the reciept'.

I have checked Tools and cancelled all the reciept sending or recieving reciept feature, but the message still appears.

To say it's annoying is an understatement, but I can't seem to stop it.

Any ideas please?

The most likely cause of this problem is that you've disabled the sending of read receipts within Outlook Express. Open Outlook Express and choose Options from the Tools menu. Select the Receipts tab. In the middle of the dialog you'll see three radio buttons relating to the default behavior for receipts. If 'Never Send a Read Receipt' is selected, we've found your problem. Select 'Always Send a Read Receipt' and you'll be good to go.
