Outlook Express error code 0x800CCC92

When trying to check my Emails in OE I get the above error message, saying my password is not recognised. I have checked it and it is correct! Am using Win XP MCE and Orange/Wanadoo. Any suggestions?

I've had a look at this page already. I am very nervous of these sites claiming to repair my registry,and I don't understand the others! Maybe I need help from an expert.

Obviously you need to substitute your own correct pop3, smtp, etc. settings for those shown in the Tiscali advice.

Have almost always found that the message that your password is not correct is misleading/wrong. You need to check your e-mail account settings and also check whether you can access Orange through their webmail. It may be a problem with the server at the Orange end.
