outlook express address book

I am about to purchase a new p.c. is it possible to import my outlook express book from my lod p.c. to my new one. My old p.c. is win 98se with only floppy drive my new p.c. has dvd/cd rewriter with win xp home edition

It depends on the size of your address book. Do a search on your p/c for the file *.wab

If it is less than 1.4 you can make a copy of it on a floppy disc and copy over the details onto your new p/c. If it is bigger than 1.4 post back.

Make sure you have a blank floppy disk available and in the drive

Open your address book, click file, then Export, then move accross to Address book (wab)

on the next screen, at the top click the little down arrow and choose 3½"Floppy(A:), give it a name and click Save.

then when you have your new computer you can simply Import the address book using the same method but Import instead of Export.
Try it now to make sure it works.
