I have not opened outlook express for over one month and when I did so I received four message which I do not understand.
Two were thanking me for confirming my password. One advising me that my email address had been used for A GREAT MANY SPAM MESSAGES and asking for confirmation and contact.

My server is Wanadoo

What are these messages all about?

Who are they from?

VERY strange
since I put my message on the helpline all four messages have disappeared from my inbox AND the two messages I sent to 'INFO' and 'SUPPORT' at my email account number , have also gone????

I have tried to find a Wanadoo address to sent an enquiry but have not had any success

the message relating to spam is as follows
Dear Spencerhr Member,

Your e-mail account was used to send a huge amount of unsolicited spam messages during the recent week. If you could please take 5-10 minutes out of your online experience and confirm the attached document so you will not run into any future problems with the online service.

If you choose to ignore our request, you leave us no choice but to cancel your membership.

Virtually yours,
The Spencerhr Support Team

""""all four messages have disappeared from my inbox AND the two messages I sent..."""""

Maybe you have the View settings set to 'Hide Read Messages' try this
Outlook Express > View > Current View > click on 'Show All Messages' (should have a black dot next to it)

They sound like phishing e-mails to me.

Ignore and delete.

The wording in the message, "Dear Spencerhr Member" and "The Spencerhr Support Team" are very typical of Spammers fishing for email addresses to add to their lists.

If so, and you reply to them, you are confirming your email address is real and you can expect a flood of spam, and they sell your email address on to other spammers.

Best to just ignore and delete.
