OUTLOOK EXPRESS

I've been off-line for a while. and on going back on to Outlook I find that I have nearly 80 e-mails waiting for me. As I'm not expecting anything special can I delete them without waiting for them to download and start afresh.
A lot of them I notice are e-mails I've received previously and are repeating themselves over and over again. Sometimes as many as 10 or 12 times.
I am on Outlook 5.
Can anyone help?
Thanx
Mental

This can't be done easily with outlook express.

Which ISP do you use? Some have a webmail facility where you can pick up email from anywhere using a web browser, just like Hotmail. If your ISP provides this facility, use it to delete any unwanted mails.

Search for your "inbox.dbx" and delete it - this is the file that represents your inbox within outlook/express
