I have Outlook 2000 running on a network and want to export the address list so that i can import it to my laptop.

The source machine is Win2K and target is Win XP.

I am not talking about the contacts list.

I have managed to add them to my personal address book but I dont get the SMTP email addresses.

Can anyone suggest a solution.

Thanks

Mike

If you are running the same version of Outlook, you can try copy the exisiting files over as is (back up the old ones first). You'll need to check the location of the files on each OS, but if the same ver of Outlook, they may be the same.

Diferent profile names may cause a problem aswell though

If I knew where to find the data I would try that but can't find it.

.wab has been suggested but that is just windows address book.

go to control panel, double click on mail.

Highlight the required item and click properties, the path is on the advanced tab

Or do a search for .pab files (personal address book)
