Outlook email preview and rules

My question is a simple one.
Background: In Microsoft Outlook 2003 there is a nifty little preview that shows the email when it's received and then fades out. Useful for keeping an eye on received email.

I have created rules that "file" my incoming emails for me in various sub-folders.

Problem: When emails arrive, they are routed and filed and I get no preview. :-(

Question: Is there a way of making the preview work before the emails get "filed" - something I can add to the rules?

Many thanks,

I should have updated this a few months ago. I did find how to do this by choosing to "Display the Desktop Alert" as one of the actions before moving the email.
