Outlook Contacts File

Can anybody tell me the name of the file that stores the Contacts from Outlook.

I know that it can be exported to other applications in various formats but what is the actual file the raw data sits in.

I know it's not a pst file because although I have Outlook I don't have a file with a .pst extension on the machine.

Thanks

I think if you backup Outlook you will find it is a pst file

Yes you are correct but the data must already be in a file - I am after that file.

On mine it is

C:\windows\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst

That was the first place I looked -three files none .pst

One with a .fav ext one .nick ext both to do with internet settings and the other a dat file of 668 bytes far too small to have all the contacts in.

I only use the contacts and calander features on Outlook to sync with my iPaq, which maybe why I don't have a .pst file?
