Is Outlook causing my PC to freeze?

When I first start my Win 7 x64 PC Microsoft Outlook usually operates normally. However, after about 15 mins or so, either Outlook, or if I have started my Internet Browser (usually Chrome, but sometimes Explorer) one or other freezes. The only way to get out of this is to open the Task Manager. This shows only Outlook to be Not Running with the browser shown as Running, but it is not in fact working. The only way to resolve this is to click end program for Outlook. However it usually takes 10 to 15 minutes before this happens. Afterwards everything runs OK unless I awaken the PC from Sleep mode when the same issue repeats itself! Has anyone any idea how to finally resolve this please?

If you suspect Outlook, have you thought of repairing your Office installation - or reinstalling Office?
