Outlook 2007 versus Windows Live e-mail 2011

I now use a Windows 7 PC more than my XP PC’s and use Outlook 2007 extensively for e-mails/Contacts and also use the Calendar/Diary with its diary reminders. I only realised today, the Windows 7 PC has Windows Live e-mail along with a facility to hold contacts and a calendar. I have only looked at this briefly but wonder as to the advantages or otherwise of Outlook 2007 against Windows Live e-mail 2011. Any comments out there?

IMO Outlook is much more comprehensive than Live and I would always opt for it given the choice.

Agree wholeheartedly with bremner. I have Outlook 2007 on my main PC and Live Mail on my laptop and therefore use both. If you want to sync with any device eg smartphone it is easier with Outlook.

Thanks for input. I did suppose that Outlook would be the better bet but had no knowledge of Live Mail.
