outlook 2007 problem

  egretta 16:54 04 Feb 10

I have a new laptop running windows 7. I have the MS Office 2007 home/student edition and have just loaded outlook 2007 from a separate disk. Everything seems to be working OK so far except that if i click on a link from an e-mail in outlook I get the following error message:
"General failure. The url was http//...etc. An error occurred in sending the command to the application."
I don't know if it is relevant but I have Firefox installed as the default browser.
Any suggestions?

I think you're right - you need to make IE your default browser for the link to work. Once you have it working you may find you can then revert to Firefox as your default browser.

Hi Sea Urchin
That seems to have worked and after reverting to Firefox it is still working. So problem solved!
Thanks for your help.
