Outlook 2007 email layout is different than before

A friend of mine has Office Outlook 2007 on his XP Pro machine. When he used to receive emails from certain places, EBAY been one of them, the emails used to show the graphics, logos etc, but now he never receives any email with graphics in, they are all just text emails with links in them instead. He was wanting to know if he has inadvertently altered some setting in Office Outlook 2007 and if so how can he correct it.

I'll try and get in touch with him now and get back to you.

He said his MESSAGE FORMAT is on HTML in the Outlook options tab.

Regarding "has he altered attachment facility in security" he said that he could not find this option to check it, where is this option located?

Try this

Click on Tools > Trust Centre
Then untick "Don't download pictures automatically"

Be warned however - Outlook 2007 defaults to not downloading pictures automatically to protect you from malware. By displaying pictures you confirm back to the sender your Email address - just what spammers are looking for.

It may be inconvenient - but it's a darned lot safer for you to download only from sites you recognise.

You will see under the "Don't download" tick box other boxes to override the setting which allows sites in your safe box etc download anyway.
