Outlook 2003 Outbox

I am using a fresh installation of Outlook 2003. When I compose a new email and click the send button, the message is transferred to the outbox with no date stamp included. If I try to send the message it remains in the outbox, if I forward the same message from the outbox it will be date stamped and sent leaving the original unstamped message still in the outbox. Any ideas on how to configure Outlook to stop this happening?

Try this forum which specialises in Outlook, it might be an idea to search past posts first as you may find someone who has had a similar problem and what the solution is. Forum is:

I have registered and waiting for an answer, there must be either a conflict or a configuration problem as emails I have sent have not been recieved at the other end.

I don't know if this will help anyone out there to help solve the problem. If I am connected to the internet and compose and send a message while connected the message goes through and is recieved the other end.
I am also using NAV and Firewall 2004. There was a conflict with the Firewall that stopped messages being sent. I have disabled this and reverted to the windows firewall, since then no probs. Have to say. I am really dissapointed with Norton especialy having used them for years.

As a last resort I want to try to export my email account details from Outlook XP that is running on my laptop but I cannot see how to do it. Any response would be well appreciated.

I have noticed that when I post a message to the outbox it is automatically shown as having been read. This is where the problems lies so how can I configure Outlook to post messages to the outbox as unread messages?
