Outlook 2003 keeps picking up old messages

I was wondering if any of you helpful people can assist me with a problem I have with Outlook. I leave the messages of a POP account on the server for 5 days so that they can be accessed/picked up by 2 different pcs.

The problem is that every so often I get duplicate emails going back 5 days - so everything on the server in other words - which means I have to delete anything from 20 to 80 emails on a regular basis.

Any ideas what might be casuing this and how to solve it?

Cheers :)

You need to change your settings....at the moment it is set to 'leave a copy of the messages on server', so that if you delete the messages from your inbox and try to check your email's again...it will think you have never read them.

I haven't actually got Outlook installed at this precise moment as i am on some cheap arse comp....but i think...if you go to

...tools...
...accounts...
...properties...
...advanced...
...then uncheck the box which says 'leave a copy of the messages on server'

regards

Graham
