How do I change the settings so that I can send attachments containing an .exe file??

from sending the attachment - although it will bombard you with 'end of the world, are you really sure you want to send this potentially unsafe file?' warnings - but at the other end your recipient's mail server might refuse to allow the attachment to pass. Hotmail will certainly stop it, and if the recipient is using Outlook he/she will be prevented from opening it anyway - .exe files are what Microsoft grandly calls 'Level 1 files' and access to these is irrevocably blocked.

Such is the world in which we live I'm afraid.
