I had a patch emailed to me today from Sage, boy do they have lots of problems with their software and XP, and the attachment was a .exe
Of course this is a level one security extension and it wont let you access the attachment in outlook. I was just wondering (I know it isnt very wise) but is there a way to disable this temporarily?

If you read a little further you will see that there are some tools for doing this without you having to go into the registry.

Yes but while my system is working, I will leave the registry alone.
I did realise something though, I have configured outlook express with my email accounts and if Im expecting a .exe, Ill receive it in that.
