Outlook 2000 ver wierd behaviour

I altered a few settings on Tools-->Accounts-->Preperties-->Servers this morning while setting up Spam Pal. When I came to test spam pal I found that I could not send an email to myself. I then changed all the settings back again, and uninstalled spampal and I still couldn't send myself an email.

I am using ntlworld (dialup) but I have a redirect from a gmail account and if I send an email to that one it comes stright back as it should. I also have a redirect from my University email address and that seems to have ceased to work as well.

Is this a technical matter open to technical solutions or shoud I call in a priest to exorcise the system. I am very confused.

Summing up: In OL I can sent to an address which is not the account address in outlook. I can send an email to myself from ntl's webmail service and receive the email in OL.

I cannot send an email to myself from OL and receive it either in OL or on NTL webmail.

In hopes
