where does microsoft outlook store the inbox folder winxp?

i know where outlook express folders are but cant find outlooks

The file extension is dbx so if you run a search it should find them.

The file is called outlook.pst. I moved mine long ago so I can't remember where it is located. So a search for outlook.pst

e.g. C:\Documenst and Settings\<your name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.

Outlook 2002 onwards the .pst no longer shows.

It does if you turn off "hide extensions for known file types" in Explorer tools > options > File Types tab. Mine is long moved to a data partition for ease of backup etc.
