outlined text

may I post here for a question about outlined text done with Photoshop?

Basically I want to type empty outlined text meaning that I want to type only the outline of the text in various colours, the inside of each letter should be either white or transparent.

Can anybody help? Thanks

Not quite sure how to create that in Photoshop - I created the outline text, above, with Paint Shop Pro X, very easily. If you need further instructions, just let me know.
Kind regards.

De Marcus - thank u, the lesson is very clear but I only want a coloured outline, I don't want to fill the letters

If you follow the lesson, then go back to your original text color and change it to white or transparent, you should end up with an outlined text.
