out of range message

Hi all

Grateful for any assistance you can give.

My monitor regularly displays an out of range error message every time I use my PC. Is this caused by a problem with my monitor or my graphics card? The error message can appear after 1 minute of using the pc or after an hour.

The only way to reset the monitor back to normal is to reboot my system.

My monitor is a Xerox WM3-19W TFT and my GFX card is an ATI X700 AGP.

Thanks

Simon

I have tried changing the gfx card drivers using several different versions, but no change in the message and the frequency of it appearing.

The out of range might be something to do with refresh rates.

Both for the Monitor and the Graphics Card.

One of your Settings is outside the Range of one or the other.

for both TFT and LCD is 60Hz

Thanks for all of your suggestions. Changing the refresh rate back to 60hz seems to have cured the problem.

You people are just great.
