Organise favorites box is blank

I am running Windows XP and Iexplore6. When I click on "Organise Favorites" the box that normally shows the list of favorites is blank, except for the default small Windows box with a red cross in it. I cannot therefore use any of the organise favorites functions.

I suspect there will be a registry hack - can anyone advise me how to fix this problem?

Hold down Shift and select Organize Favorites

Amazingly quick reply VoG - thanks. It certainly gave me quick access to the list of favorites, in a new window. However, I could do this using Widows Explorer. What I really want is to repopulate the box in the Organise Favorites menu. Any ideas?
