I ordered a viewsonic 20.1in lcd and they are awaiting stock but I noticed the native resolution is 1680 X 1050 or as they say the " optimum resolution" is this to high for text and would I better off with a smaller 4:3 lcd either 19" or 17". I was hoping the native resolution would be less and more like 1280 x 1024 resolution. eg the
VX922 19" XTREME LCD MONITOR
WITH 2MS ULTRA-FAST RESPONSE TIME.

lost so need help.

Take a look at any 15.4 inch laptop screen same proportions just smaller size. I find it fine for reading most sites however making documents can prove annoying when they get to be more than a few pages as you cannot see as much however the size of your monitor suggests it would be ideal for just about anything 20.1 is huge!

this is an image of a 15.4inch laptop beside a dell 19inch lcd of the usual 4:3 ratio.

You can always change settings to suit yourself - see click here.

I also use the zoom function in documents made in MS Word, Excel, etc.

I'm sure you'll won't be disappointed with the monitor! G
