Its not cheap ;-)

How much of the functionality do you think will be limited after the beta expires on Nov 30 2003?

  Sir Radfordin™ 15:59 10 Mar 03

If previous stuff is anything to go buy you will be able to open a file and that will be it. You won't be able to copy, print or save. Though it shouldn't be a problem as you should have a previous vesion of Office that will allow you to open the file.

I ask the usual question re upgrades. What does 2003 give that previous version does not?

  cherria 17:16 10 Mar 03

A bunch more features that you didn't know you needed and a freshened up user interface? Just a guess!

  cherria 17:24 10 Mar 03

But having said that, the GUI was a feature we didn't know we needed until Bill showed us all the light.

If they want me to test it, they can pay me for my time (yes, I know, I was 'testing' the retail version of WinXP when I bought it:) ).

Cherria: don't think that introduction of GUI could be called an upgrade. In any case Bill nicked the idea from Apple.

I remain very sceptical, like yourself, re upgrades. If a programme that's been going for years does not already incorporate 99.9 percent of useful features then there is something wrong with the designers.
