Optical mouse not working after XP goes into sleep

Hi there,

I have a Logitech Optical mouse and XP Home.

When I put XP into sleep mode (zzzzzzzzzz) and then come BACK from sleep mode, the mouse no longer works (although the keyboard does, its not a Logitech keyboard), the cursor just sits there on the screen and no amount of wiggling the mouse will move it.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be most welcome, coz I quite like using sleep mode (zzzzzzzzzz). Thanks.

Try a single click to wake the Mouse up

Hi Sharpamatt

Clicking the mouse didn't help. But I have a Dell desktop and I pressed F2 to get into the bios. Once there, I could change the "Power management" settings to "return to last configuration on return from standby" and lo and behold the mouse then works!

Now where was I, ah yes, zzzzzzzzzzzzz.
