Opera9 memory leak

Opera has fast become a very popular browser. But one of the problems that has dogged its progress is called a memory leak. This causes the browser to freeze up and become unworkable. As far as I know it is something to do with a high GDI Objects figure.

Some people say that version 9 has cured this problem. Having tried version 9, it appears to remain. Does anyone else have this problem and if so does a remedy exist or does it remain peculiar to some PC's and not others.

Opera 9 shows 1927 GDI Objects and 27,000k (both are still rising slowley in Task Manager) CPU usage becomes 100% hence broswer freeze.

Does anyone have any ideas..........

Opera 9 appears to be a beta release, so one cannot expect it to be anywhere near perfect.

I found this message at the Opera forums click here.

Have a look in the Opera Beta forums - you may get some info about this problem click here, or you can post there after registering & reading this 'Opera 9 users: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING' click here.

Good luck : ) G
