Opera Ebay log in problem

  bahati0ne 12:12 29 Mar 10

Since upgrading to Opera Browser 10.5 I cannot log in to my ebay account.
I can if using IE 6.0
Is there anyway to rectify this please?

I don't have any problem logging in to my e-bay account using Opera 10.51.

I would not recommend remaining with IE6 as it security is now poor.

You could try emptying the cache and see if it then works.

Thanks re IE 6.

I have cleared the cache but still no go. I have even tried re registering but despite ebay saying they have sent me an email nothing arrives

You could clear your cookies but if you clear them all you will lose any automatic log in to sites eg PCA.

Why not upgrade to I.E 8 much better than I.E 6 and you could even try logging into E-Bay

Try signing in from click here instead of using a bookmark or desktop icon.

There are a few other things you can try:
Go to browser Tools> Options> Content and be sure the pop-up blocker is unchecked.
Set your computer's security setting on Medium.
See if the add-blocker can be disabled in your anti virus program, and if using McAfee, it needs updating.

If your computer is set to automatically install updates, a recent Windows update may have changed some of your computer settings.

This last suggestion of logging in to
ebay.com.au works and I can see my account etc.
