OpenView At Startup

My father has a PC Running Win98. A while ago he was sent an email with an attachment from a trusted source.

However, when he went to open the email he got the jitters and thought that as the attachment didnt seem to do anything when he tried to open it he would delete it.

The problem is whenever he boots up his PC it loads into Win98 ok but comes up 4 times with the message "Openview program not present therefore windows cannot open the application".

Other than these annoying messages at startup (which are cleared by pressing ok) his PC is fine.

Can you help with a way to clear these messages from startup?

Any help appreciated.

Have you done the obvious?
Check the startup menu, and run msconfig to check the programs on the Startup tab?

Download AVG antivirus if you don't already have an antivirus program click here

Not tried that, but will do and let you know if it works.

Thanks for the response.
