OpenOffice - installing without internet access

I have a friend who does not have access to the internet at the moment, but would like to be able to install OpenOffice on their PC.

Can this be dones without access to the internet? I can copy the downloaded file from Filehippo, but I think this is just an installation program that then accesses the internet.

Can it be done?

Thanks
Sara

Yes, I have done this. when you download you get the option of runing the file or saving it. I saved it into a folder within 'my documents' which I have named 'downloads', it can then be burnt to cd or memory stick. I save all my downloaded programs this way.

.

You will probably find the latest version of Open-Office available on computer magazine cover disks. You could have a look at the magazines available in your local super market or possibly borrow one from a friend.

Peter.
