Opening a works database?

without having MSWorks?

I've been sent a database in MSWorks format - any way to open it?

Thanks, Dio

You could try the "Trial Version" from:

But is may be easier (in the future) to ask whoever sent the .wdb file to save it as a .dbf file. I have Works and Office on my PC.

I have just saved a .wdb file as a .dbf and it opens perfectly in Excel.

Alternatively, if you would like to email me the file I will convert it for you so that you can open it in Excel. (if it is not personal, that is)?

you could try the works viewer from microsoft. i havent used it but as its from microsoft i would expect it to work (only because works is also a microsoft product).

There is one package that will allow you to read the Works database file.

Use the trial to see if it does what you require.

pj123 did a great job giving you the other options
