Opening wndows in full screen

I know I should know this but how do I get windows to open in full screen instead of having to maximise them once they are open?

right click the shortcut, properties, run, select maximized.

Hi VoG

Thanks for that. Unfortunately I can't find run when I've gone into properties. I'm using IE7 if that makes a difference.

Close all windows except the small one. Stretch the sides to fill the screen (do not use the Maximize button). Close using File > Close, not the X. The next time it should open full screen.
