Opening .webloc files in Windows

  Sea Urchin 09:33 24 Dec 07

I have received a couple of festive emails which have .webloc extensions - I understand these are Macintosh files. Does anybody know whether there is there a viewer that can be downloaded to open them in Windows? Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

I shall not be able to look at this site again until after Christmas, so I will not respond until then. Very best wishes and a happy new year to all Forum users.

It appears they are just apples .url format. Maybe you could get your friend to send you the links in plain text format, but if not the only thing I could suggest is installing safari for windows click here and trying to open them with that

Hope it helps

for your suggestions. Am using Win98 and so can't download Safari, but will ask for the files to be sent again.

Happy New Year to you
