Opening a BKF File

I am trying to take a complete back up of my laptop onto a 1GB memory stick...there is less than 7,700KB on the l/top so there is plenty of space.

I am using the backup facility in " WinASO Registry Optimizer " under advanced tools/system tools.

Everything backs up ok onto the stick but I am unable to open it when transferred. It tells me it is a BKF file and Windows wants to know what prog. created it ???
I am a little out of my depth here and need to know what I am doing wrong and where do I go from here please.I haven't got Nero or any copy software on my machine and don't really want to go down that road if at all poss. and that is why I am trying the WinASO facility

WindowsXP Home with B/B

With thanks

Tony
