open rar files?not a trial version?free!

Ive just changed laptops and need to open rar files....is there a totally free one?I wont be using it that often,but don't want a trial version.Have googled it,but there appears to be a lot of options.Just a good old free version would be good thanks!grateful for any ideas.Thanks in advance

I use Free Rar Extract Frog. But like 7Zip be careful where you donwload from. Cnet often bundles toolbars which behave like malware for example and they can be a pain to remove. Make sure that you untick/tick only the correct program. As far as I am aware this site is ok Free RAR

I've managed to avoid most of the pitfalls. However, I find it difficult to get to load properly

Use the site here to download / update software with out the added crap that is put into most install packages nowadays.
