Open With command

I recently installed Paint shop Pro 9 to my windows 7 laptop. From the start it would not open any images by double clicking and any image had to opened from file/open after the programme had started. This error appeared every time. There was a problem sending the command to the program” To solve this I Googled and found this solution. http://mycomputergirl.blogspot.com/2011/03/painshop-pro-9-problem-sending-command.html The first one did not work - by disabling user account control -so tried the next one on the link. Since then, I now have another problem, in that the “open with” command will not work with PSP 9. Click “open with “ and it allows browsing to the PSP 9exe file on the system, but then when clicking “open” as what you would normally do – nothing happens and the list of files to use as default does not contain PSP 9. I have Googled until blue in the face and no matter what solutions are given, they do not work. Does anyone have a solution to these 2 problems? 1 - that it gives this error when trying to open a file “There was a problem sending the command to the program" 2 – that it now does not respond to the “open with” command.

I have found the answer that works - AT LAST ! Here -http://forums.techguy.org/tech-tips-tricks/39273-open-command.html

Followed instructions, and now the file opens with PSP 9 and also opens with a double click . Great.
